That picture really had me laughing! eeeew... here birdie birdie!
Chester was sitting at the front door this morning doing that "ack, ack, ack" thing at a bird. Just as I grabbed the camera, he stopped. His mouth works so funny when he does that.. Do they do that when they see birds?

Wouldn't it be nice to get so much pleasure out of the sight of something so simple and commonplace as a bird...... sigh...sometimes I envy cats....
Those pictures are adorable.![]()

HA HA HA.. That picture is too cute!!
Last year we had an ice storm.. and I put some birdseed out for the birdies. Tinky and Jupiter WOULD NOT leave from the window. If you look you can see the birds at the birdfeeder and all over the ground.. and T&J glued to the window...

What a cute picture and how nice that they each have their own window to watch from! LOL! My two do that little *ACK* *ACK* noise too and Andy does that little mouth thing like Chester!![]()
So cuuuute!!That picture of Marshall and Winston gave me a chuckle this morning. Mine do the ACK ACK thing and I crack up at that sound. I also envy cats sometimes. What a life - especially for these boys who have live bigscreen kitty television (birds in windows)

Happy, happy cats!!
According to the book "Catwatching" by Desmond Morris, the chatter of the cat's teeth when watching a bird, is known as 'vacuum activity'. I'll quote from the book, "The cat is performing its highly specialized killing-bite, as if it already had the unfortunate bird clamped between its jaws."Originally Posted by Laura's Babies
So, cats watching birds might be cute to us, but to a cat it is serious and deadly business.

I was going to mention that, Brian...shows the killer instincts are very much alive in our babies, though they certainly don't need the outdoor food!
When I was growing up, we called the sound "going rackety-rack" because of the vibration caused by rapid repeats.
My guys don't do that when they see a critter outside the window...hmmm...they MIGHT be too spoiled!![]()
