Thanks everyone... The last few days have been interesting, to say the least. I've been taking lots of pictures (as has my mom, my brother, my friends from Scotland, my in-laws, etc.) so I'll be sure to post some when I have a moment to breathe. Until then, I just wanted to thank you all for the sweet things you've said.![]()
Oh, and Kay - all the animals are doing really well with him. Samantha has taken on the role of "Nana" (from Peter Pan). When he makes a little sound, she makes sure he's okay by peering into the crib (or the bassinet, wherever he may be). When someone's holding him, she sits right by them to make sure they stay in line. It's really cute. When we go upstairs - even without the baby, like to grab something in our bedroom, she goes straight to the baby's door expecting to go in. Whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night to be changed and fed, she goes in with us. She loves him and is allowed to sniff him but no lickies yet (although I've let her sneak a couple here and there - shhhh).

The kitties are very inquisitive. They're always jumping up on the table to look into the bassinet. And they love his furniture - the nursery center/bassinet almost always has a cat in it in the morning when we come downstairs. Kimi found the baby papasan we got and curled up in it this evening.
So yeah, the Patterson household remains harmonious... with the minor exception of when Aidan is screaming his fool head off and won't shut up!![]()
