She has been in remission for a few years now.

I am sorry to hear of your mother's battle with Breast Cancer, my mother also had it and has been in remission for over three years, she was elderly when she caught it 68 to be exact, and it was caught early, I hope you mother beats this disease as well, and that she makes a really good recovery, that is so sweet, pets are very smart thats for sure, take care and all the best to you and your mother.
