Heidi might get lonesome at the Fire House ~
We're all on-call Volunteers - no one stays in the Station between calls.

Years ago, my (RB ) Husky/Shepherd Shadow came closest to being our
"Mascot" - she spent MANY hours in the office while I was out on calls.
She even "bunked in" for 3 days once while I was on a FD business trip! She
had a bunch of the Fire Guys "looking in" on her every few hours - feeding, walking,
and entertaining - while I was gone. She seemed to have a *phunn tyme*!

I really hope I can find a "better" Home for Heidi ... before ...

She's a sweetheart Phred. Best of luck in finding her a home. I'm in tears after reading this. Unfortunately, I can't take her(I wish I could) but I wonder if you cross posted this in General you might get a taker. I'm hoping some kind soul in the Pet Talk network will see this and be able to find a home for the sweet little girl. Positive thoughts are coming that way

I really wish these people weren't doing that to this sweet dog.
    She is so precious.

    Lil Heidi isn't goin anywhere!

Big SkinBrudder Adam tossed enough temper tantrums over the proposed re-homing
of Heidi that it's been just about totally forgotten!

Between the Three SkinKids, there's usually someone either home or *passin through*,
so Heidi isn't being *ignored* nor *starved for attention*.
And a nearby Nephew/Cousin now drives - so he's available as a drop-in care giver when needed.

    Dunno what may happen when (or rather, IF) the SkinKids ever move out;
but for now Heidi has a place to park her BedBaskit and sit on laps!

    (Another crisis averted!)

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
