Good Morning, beautiful Heidi! Wow, can you really be 11 years young? You look like a teenager! I doubt there's a mean bone in that beautiful body! Of course you were a bit on edge before that perfect family came along! What doggie wouldn't be after suffering such abuse But doggies know best and you had no doubt that finally, this was the family that would love and cherish you forever! Life sounds good there in sunny Fla! Wow, all that beach to roam and your very own river to wade in...perfect Heidi, you're so deserving of our extra special Sunday Dog of the Day honors! Heidi your story is what makes me like the company of dogs better than humans sometimes! After all of the abuse you put up with in your three short years of life, you were still willing to open up your heart and trust. We could all learn from you! When I clicked on your picture this morning I thought I saw a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog looking back at me. Could it be that you are actually not a mix but a real honest to goodness Swissie! It makes no difference really, though, because you are just a cutie pie either way. I smiled when I read that you were a little afraid of the manatee because my 'granddog' Dale, the Swissie, is afraid of empty milk jugs! I hope you have a wonderful day, maybe romping on the beach.

We are deeply saddened to hear that you had been so badly treated in your early life. We will never understand how some people can be so cruel. Thank God for your wonderful family for rescuing you and giving you a wonderful, deserving life. They have given you the life that you deserve. You are truly an exceptionally sweet and loving doggie and we hope you and your humans have many many more happy years together!! Of course we are so excited that you are our neighbor.
