Update From Hazel
I’m sitting here anxiously awaiting my blood test results (along with mom & dad)! I was pretty scared yesterday, even though Dr. Toben is so kind and gentle. He took my temp which was normal, checked my teeth and throat, and my ears. Ended up I have an ear infection and never even gave mom & dad a clue. I didn’t shake my head nor scratch at my ear. Guess that was bad on my part or they would’ve taken care of this much sooner. They took me in the back room and took blood samples, and I was such a good girl, didn’t even move. They trimmed my back claws (since I have no front ones) and I had a mild case of acne under the chin so they shaved that area and medicated it. They also gave me an antibiotic shot and subcutaneous fluids. So now we just sit and wait till the kind Dr. calls with results. Whew….I’m glad all that’s over with!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
