We just got back from the vet. I didn't want to worry anyone sooner. He's got a lump on his back foot. It's just behind the pad of the paw. I feel like a bad mom because I didn't examine his paw better. This lump stays pink and I had thought it was because of him scratching out all the time. I've been watching the lumps everywhere else About a month ago, I took him to the vet for a sore on top of his foot that wouldn't get well. He was put on antibiotics. The sore got well but the lump is still there. Some cell samples were taken today. Results will be back next week. Vet said there were some questionable cells he couldn't identify. Depending on those tests, he might have to have his toe amputated. As long as they get everything, I don't care if that happens. It's on the outside so it won't be too awkward like being a middle toe. I just don't want to lose another dog to cancer Everyone, be sure to examine every inch of your dogs.
