    Deep fried turkey.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9M7s...eature=related

This time of year I end up watching all the Deep Fried Turkey accidents and wonder when it will all come to an end.

I am shocked and secretly entertained when I see people blow up a perfectly good turkey-and their homes in some cases.

There will be clips posted of Uncle Frank asleep on the couch, exposing his-self because his shorts are too short.

The women discussing and prodding Auntie Bertha's new surgery, your nephew running into the closed sliding glass door, You cousin, drunk on Bud Light, kicking the TV because he lost next month's rent betting on the football games and your sister/brother bringing home their new squeeze and getting them to shoot egg nog out of their tear ducts......

But let me tell ya! There's nothing like the person who refuses to drop the camera and try to help their loved ones with a peanut/canola/vegetable oil
    fire.

I especially want to thank the people who drop a FROZEN turkey into a pot of oil that is about 450 degrees.....It's only about a shift of 490 degrees, what could possibly go wrong?

They sound like a bunch of morons.

You didn't happen to catch the Food Network Thanksgiving Challenge did you? One of the challengers decided to deep fry his turkey. It was totally black and so was the oil. Oopsie.

We once went on a Boy Scout outing ... ice fishing. Not on my Top 10,000 Ways to Spend a Saturday, by a long shot. A couple of the dads produced turkey fryers and proceeded to fry turkeys ... on the ice. Ok, I'm sure it was probably safe enough and they knew what they were doing. Nothing bad happened. But it made me EXTREMELY nervous to see the ice melting into a pool of water under and around these blazing hot fryers, while dozens of little boys were out on that ice.

Fried turkey, although a terribly unhealthy thing to do to a formerly healthy food, is very yummy.

As God as my witness, - I thought turkeys could fly.

Talk about one smoking hot bird.

These are not the droids you were looking for

They can fly. Not long distances. My parents had a flock of wild turkeys in their front yard for 20 years. Turkeys can fly up into trees (where they look rather frightening - like vultures.) They can also fly over fences.
