iwish I had some carpentry skills Richard and had a way of getting the raw materials home. I could build a Found Cat Porchie Retreat so noone got cold during the Long Winter Months!

Richard, I love the patio sunning area! Maybe the little black and white will prefer that (I know, that's the point, but you never know!) to the roof. :)

hey, check this out!!!

I was looking at what to do about the sides of the 'cathouse' and came up with this idea..I was ready to throw out the cans of cat fud and came across an idea to recycle the pop tops as 'shingles' for the sides of the second story.

I took a pair of pliers and bent back the sharp points on the ends.

What a talented guy! I think Bob Vila might be interested in this project. I found some scalloped shingles on the internet and they have the round part going down. Either works well don't you think? ;)

Love the recycling, great idea. My only problem is I think your have been sending mine messages. Then at night they wispppppure in my wife’s ear Close in the deck, a nice roof and some screens so we can go out side.
Richard you are a trouble (work) maker. Next they will want a cattage on the deck, just like yours.

A few nights ago I saw one of the mom cats inside the 'first floor'
room hanging out.

This morning I peeked out the window and saw one of the Little Yellow Kitties on the roof.

I took a pic and fed the clan.....

The LYK jumped off, ate and climbed back on top....

I think the new accomodations are a hit!:D

Simple things that make life good?

I was looking outdoors and saw a mommy and baby in the first floor room- This was late in the evening and I didn't want to spook them out.
------------------

I went out to put my stuff in the dryer and stopped on the way back in-I fastened a few more 'shingles' on the structure. I opened the back door and was met by the strains of "Hotel California" playing on the cable music channel.

Later on, I put a old sheet into the room-for a little nest? When I looked out to check to see if anyone had made a bed on it?

Two small kittehs were hiding out inside-My mistake? When I open the back door they are expecting treats! I opened the door and they came running out to see what was happening. :eek:

I have seen another cat up on the Cat-lifornia roof, surveying the area.....

Had I know it was a mutually beneficial prject?

I would have started way sooner!
