    my former cat Leo Scoop

I don't know if anyone remembers me (I don't post that much and when I do, it's pretty much only in dog general)
But half a year ago I made some big changes in my life. I moved from the Faroe Islands (Europe) to the U.S.
Unfortunately that meant I had to make the hard choice of leaving one of my pets behind, since I could only bring 2. Tiki died shortly before arriving in the U.S. though, so now this is a one dog household ...

Some people in dog general might wonder what happened to Leo though, so I thought I might post a thread so you can see that he is still around and that he's doing fine. He is no longer my cat though and he's still in Europe... but his new owner is a friend of mine on facebook, so I get to see him every once in a while. It was really difficult at first though, so I didn't really want to look to be honest. But I think I'm more ok with it now and I see that he's doing ok. He still has the same name.

Anyway. Here are a few photos I got off facebook.

laying on the counter... when I was his mom I would never have allowed that! hehe

Leo looks like a sweet and soft kitty and I bet you miss him, although less now. I'm sure he is fine with his new family.

    Thanks for sharing.

I do remember the sad story of Tiki, but I didn't remember you had to leave Leo behind.
He does look like he's doing great. That should make you feel so much better, but I'm sure you still miss him terribly.
Isn't that funny what they will try (and get away with) when in a new environment?
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I am so sorry you had to leave your kitty behind. It is so hard when you have to make that kind of decision. He looks very content though. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, I still miss him and I was seriously considering asking for him back and bringing him here to the U.S. Our place only allows 2 pets but with Tiki gone, I could have Leo... But I can't justify that really, especially since our future isn't so set anymore and it's very likely that we'll have to go back to Europe for a while again.
Not to mention that asking for him back would be... I dunno... pretty cruel. He's happy there and has a good home. Which is a lot more than most cats have, so it's probably for the best to let go. Bringing animals across the continents costs a hell of a lot of money too. I guess that money could be better spent to perhaps one day give another homeless cat a home. Not anytime soon though. For now it's just Taggart and it's going to stay like that until we are fully settled and don't have to worry about visa restrictions and so on.

Still, we are glad to get the update, and gladder still he looks happy and healthy. Never an easy decision, that's for sure.

Yes, it sure would be very difficult to have to part with an animal but I'm glad that you're able to get pictures and updates on him. He looks like he's doing very well. Thanks for sharing his pictures and story with us.
