    2010 Olympics

Is anyone coming up here to attend???
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

While you know I would move there if I could I am sure I stay away during a sporting event of that size. I fled Germany when we had the soccer world championship here in Munich. I'm a nerd I suppose

Which one? 1974 or the last one in 2006? I was still a kid in 1974, but I pretty much enjoyed our "Sommermärchen" of 2006.

I wish I could be out of town for the Olympics, but I will still have to work. Not sure how I will make it to work, considering many of our major roads will be closed and traffic will be completely re-routed, but I still have to make my way to work. I guess I won't be one of those people that the organizers have encouraged to "stay home during the Olympics so the roads are clear for tourists and athletes."

I do not support the Olympics one bit, and I especially do not support how our sleazy provincial government has "managed" the cost, events, and whatever else will slither out from under the rocks once the games are underway.

Gosh, Slick, I wish I could come! I LOVE the Olympics and unfortunately didn't even take advantage of the time they were held in Georgia (summer 1996). Should have!
