My Phillies pulled off a winning season opener yesterday, after I had given up hope. Even the fans in the stadium were deserting the sinking ship, and bailing out and heading for home (or the bar) in the 7th. Bet they're kicking themselves now tho, for leaving when they did !!!
It was the first season opener that they won since 1970-something - 76 I think.

I watched that game and I agree it was a touching tribute not only to a great ball player, but to an even more wonderful man.The first game went sooooo well.
