What's with the squirrel?With the exception of about 6 months, I have lived my entire life in hurricane country, and have never seen a squirrel associated with these storms before? What did I miss???

It is more the danger below the surface than the waves that closes beaches - a strong rip tide can get a swimmer in trouble very quickly, and you don't necessarily see it coming. I'd love to be on Nantucket to watch the waves, but now isn't the time to head there!
