New Tank Design, and new Fishies

Since I had so much time on my hands, since my internet was out for over a week, I decided to Re-Vamp my 75 gallon tropical fish tank. I also added a few new fishies. Lots of pics, so enjoy!

Very beautiful. I think the new look is much better. The tetra looks like a fruit tetra (jellybean, painted). Its bascially the same species as a white or black skirt tetra, only injected with dye (which is a horrible practice). The color will fade if the fish lives long enough. It should school with the black skirts.

ahhh.....I figured it was dyed, and I dont buy those cause I detest the practice. But it was given to me, with a 55 gallon tank.

Gee, what a difference the background makes, huh? I often wonder if the fish actually 'see' the background through the glass; or if they even care ha haa. I have had the same background on mine for . . . . at least 7 years.

The first post, the 4th pic, I saw that pleco and thought, WOW, she's had that one for a while! Then further down you show the 2 plecos. I kept one in the tank when I was in the apartment. The tank was always getting algae, it was a light, bright apartment facing SOUTH, very sunny and nice to live in; except for the tank maintenance. Here at this house, however, I would actually have to FEED algae tablets to keep one, so I don't bother.

    What a great set up.

Very pretty. I miss having a community tank. My cats are still too young to even attempt it.

Nothing quite as peaceful as a pretty fishtank.
