Otis is my spiky blonde baby, I've had him for about six months. To be honest getting him was totally on a whim. One day my mother just randomly said that she wanted one. Hedgehogs are my favorite animal so of course I agreed. I was very excited to get my own, so not wanting to wait, I pre-ordered this tan one instead of the standard brown. Two weeks later, I got him. At first he was very cute and quiet, but now since he's used to me, he's the biggest grouch ever (but still adorable). I have asked myself that if I could, would I have gone back and got a brown one instead? And the answer is always no. I love my Otis (he's named after a pug in the movie "Milo and Otis") and I would never trade him for any other.
Otis is very grouchy most of the time to everyone except me, I'm his momma. He loves to cuddle next to me in my bed, and on more than one occasion he's slept on my lap. He's not a particularly active boy, his favorite past times are to sleep and run in his wheel. He runs very fast, so the title "Sonic" does fit him quite well. His favorite treat is definitely mealworms, it may sound gross but he likes to eat them like spaghetti and they'll be gone in seconds, it makes me and my mother laugh.
Seeing as he is fast, sometimes we place him in our empty hall way and he just zooms down the carpet, it's fun and he gets exercise this way as well. He also does this thing called anointing, where he eats food or licks it (chicken) and then turns his head around to reach his quills and licks his back, it's extremely adorable and one of the main reasons he's so chubby, we give him lots of treats. We love him!
