I know this girl from when I was a little girl and we lost contact for a long time then a few weeks ago she came over for dinner. We talked about everything including our pets she said she has two cats male and female and the male is a dirty cat and keeps peeing in the house. So she wanted to rehome him. Well now I just found out they dumped him at a farm because her and her boyfriend figured he'd love it there where he could eat hay and live with the cows!!!

Whats wrong with people. I sure hope a nice person found him and took him in.

I know...there have been several stories on here about people who had NO CLUE that their male was peeing and "stinky" because he wasn't neutered.

STUPID!

Did you happen to casually mention that unneutered males always do that?

"Eat hay"...tempted to tell her BF what to EAT...but I'll be nice....

it drives me craz people do that. Like cows will understand their meows. Hopefully countryside people will look after him.poor cat, so misunderstood.

And the sad thing is that a lot of these Farmers have enough to do without feeding a lot of Starry Cats,so the Cats go feral nad hunt and kill Birds and Other Wildlife just to survive.
Which is how you get all these Colonies of Feral Cats,and Packs of Dogs in the Country.
Theres a place in Hell for these People,These Cretins.

I wonder if that idiotic boyfriend would "love it" eating hay and hanging out with cows all day, as opposed to their already nice, warm home with food and love???? UGH!!!!!!

It's sad, but some IRRESPONSIBLE STUPID PET OWNERS like them have not a clue. It never occurred to them that maybe this male needs NEUTERING??? If he is neutered, he needs to get to a vet and fast, because chances are he's suffering from a urinary tract infection, which is painful.

She and her boyfriend are despicable!!

Anyway of getting the cat back Otherwise he's going to contribute to the already cat overpopulation and eventually cause him to become feral (terrified of people). Those people are just too stupid to live!!

Oh yeah, and from ME, one of THOUSANDS of animal rescuers and people involved in Trap/Neuter/Release, I say thanks! NOT!!!

I tried to tell her about neutering him and educating her on what she should have done and she found it quite funny, its too bad she and I used to be good friends seems her and I aren't as alike as we used to be. I won't be calling her anymore. Which is sad her and I used to have great fun. Oh well she sure turned DUMB

You'd be amazed at how many people drop of their pets in the middle of the desert here! It makes me so mad. Sometimes on Craigslist I see people giving up their pets and when people try to give them alternatives they always respond with "Well at least I'm not going to dump them off in the desert" they act as if they should be rewarded for that or something! I also see a lot of ads reading "If fluffy doesn't find a home by such a date I will take them to the desert"
