    Claire's spay...

You might remember how I took Claire in to be spayed at the end of January and I was upset by my vet and how they handled things that day. Well they apoligized to me and we talked about everything. I took her in again today to be spayed.

She was and here's her little update. I know one thing, I miss her so badly.

The vet assistant said that she had to basically breath for her the whole time because Claire wouldn't, that worried me. She said they washed her off a bit, to get off the betadine scrub, and she did bleed a little so they are keeping a really close watch on her. She told me all this at around 3pm. She also said that Claire was still very sleepy and resting in her cage nicely.

I pick her up tomorrow after 2 and I think I'm going to go insane before then, it's going to be a loooong night with her, Rebel will be sad too, he always searches for her or me or Shannon when one or the other isn't around.

Also, I just called again, hehe, she said Claire was doing great, playing with her toy in her cage. Oh and I also had her microchipped while she was there. Anywho, just wanted to fill everyone in on little Claire.

Its so hard when we worry about our furbabies. I'm glad she is doing ok now. Can't wait to hear that she is home safe and feeling much better.

Glad to hear that Claire is feeling a little better, and that they are being extra cautious with her. She will be home giving you kisses in no time.

Claire's home! Actually she's here at work with me right now, sniffing around. She's doing good, licking at her stitches constantly with me saying no softly and putting my hand in front of her so she'll sniff it. hehe It's going to be tough to keep her from licking too much. Otherwise I think she's doing just fine.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

I'm so glad to hear she's doing ok. If she's licking her sutures that much I'd get her an elizabethan collar, especially since you won't awake to tell her to leave them be tonight. You don't need her going back in again thats for sure.
Hugs to her & you as well.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
