    Thursday 145-Spa day!

Today is spa/massage/do your nails day...

    Hairl and calluses too!

The Edster has aske me permission to give out his special 'biscuit massages'.

I think that wine and champagne is the DOTD.....

I have fruit/cheese and cracker platters all around the bar, so please come in, have a seat and relax......

Well, I'm not really a "paws and claws" kinda gal but I could sure use a massage. That car accident is starting to setting in now. Edster, can I be next after MOFF??? Please be carful...I don't want to end up with scratches all over my back. What would that say about me???

Richard, where is the platter of strawberries dipped in chocolate?? And isn't there some handsome guy who goes around and feeds us grapes??? Maybe that was another Thursday.

I'll take a sip of champagne please and thank you.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Calgon, calgon...

It's been a crappy week and, unfortunately, these next few will be worse. My boss is officially retiring in April but he "began to ease into it" 3 months ago (ie hasn't done crap since about Thanksgiving). Next week, we have a new guy coming in for training. And I'm oh so excited about that. Can't you tell?

I'll take the "Slice of Heaven" package, please: a 2hr massage, a body polish, a mud body mask, a facial, a spa mani-, a honey latte pedi-, and a shampoo and blow dry.

    Ahh..

    LOL

Aww, poor Louie! Would you rather greet the patrons as they walk in the door? I'm sure you'll get lost of pets and snuggles that way!

Hans, his name is Hans, Slick, and he will feed you grapes if you want, or fan or palm leaf or do whatever you please. He is here simply for your pleasure.

I want to sign up for one of the Edster's massages too, please. That'll be to get me warmed up, then I want a "deep tissue" massage from Hans. At one of our spa weekends I had this girl who had what I would call a "light touch." When the massage was over I thought to myself "Ok, that was a pretty good warm up, now where's the real massage?" Both my mom and aunt had someone else and they were both complaining about how rough their person was and how they didn't like it. I was like.......do over!

Mmmm....champagne sounds wonderful, which cheese and fruit and Terry's absolute favorite, strawberries dipped in chocolate! Gee, I think this Thursday spa is great!

Oh, and Louie, sounds like your mom forgot the best part, the massage! Maybe you'd like spa day a little better if it came with a massage.

Oh, RICHARD, sign me up for an Edster massage too, please! I forgot that you actually had to WORK when you go back to work! My muscles were aching where I didn't know I had muscles. Strawberries and champagne for me, but no Hans!

Oh, did I forget to mention that for the guys we've got Gerta. Think big buxom blonde German pushing out of her.....Barbara, what do you call those dresses the women wear during Oktoberfest? Not only can she handle 6 steins of beer in one hand, but she can really work you over with them too. David, if you're sore already, you might want to ask her to go easy on you.....

More champagne for me, please. I'm off to my seaweed wrap. Sounds icky, but it's soooo soothing and warm and cozy. The only problem is they don't let you alone in the room long enough to doze off.

After the wrap, we head to the Scotch Hose/Swiss Shower. A room with about 25 shower heads spraying at you from all angles (gotta get all the seaweed off because it stinks to high heaven!). While you're being showered upon with all the shower heads, Hans stands there with a slightly less powerful fire hose and literally hoses you down from top to bottom, alternating hot and cold water. Hot water is wonderful, cold water is what they call "stimulating". I just call it cold!

When you're done in the shower, you get wrapped in a cozy warm terry towel bathrobe and sent to the pool area to relax and lounge and take in the whole experience. Aaaaaaahhhhhh..........

You got it. Sourdough, fresh cheese from the Rouge en Noir Cheese Factory - my FAVORITE cheesery (is that a word? ) where you actually CAN pet those oh-so-happy cows - don't know if it's the "grass" or the wine or maybe it's a combination of both. We DO have the best and I'm not prejudiced, oh no siree-bob, not at all
