    lol yeah? they are really great pets. they dont need much attention, and they don't smell. If you get them at auctions, which is a great way because it's almost like rescueing, they only cost around 20 dollars.

    god, i wish i would have known this before my mom pushed my sister away from the "high maintabnence" hedgies. we would have never gotten guinea pigs though.

    Not to forget our little foster dog Velma Dinkley!

    so she thinks they are high maintanence? they really aren't... but with young children that can be a problem because they tend to like to play with their pets and be able to really touch them. I mean, if you have a REALLY nice hedgie, then you don't have to use gloves because they won't put their spikes up, but I think that's rare to come by. expecially if you rescue or go to auctions, because some haven't been treated very good. anyways, i'm babbling. lol
