Update on Rocky, the rottie who's very ill (with pics)

Rocky has spent a peaceful Christmas, and it looked like he was really enjoying to be with his family.

But when I saw him again tonight, I didn't like at all what I saw. He didn't even get up to great me, and barely lifted his head while he was resting on his blanket all the time. It really seemed to me as if he's already preparing for the bridge, even though Reinhold (step father) hopes he will still be around for half a year, but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

Another thing that worries me: Reinhold mentioned that rotties in pain might get mean, so I fear a bit for the kitten Peggy, who's used to sleep with him on his blanket. What if Rocky's so much in pain that he's snapping at her?

This was Rocky yesterday; today I took no photos because I didn't want to bother him.






I don't know, but it really seems to me he's declining quickly now, it's very sad. I'll keep you updated, okay?

It's always so painful to part with our sweet best friends. This is so sad. He's such a gorgeous Rottie boy and if it's his time to go to the bridge, we wish him the most peaceful journey possible.
