Need help with Microsoft Access 2002

Calling all experts...which I'm not. I have a comma-delimited .txt file with 260,000 records that I need converted to a .csv so I can read in Excel. Trouble with Excel is that it will only read in 65,000 records. I could simply open it up on Notepad, highlight each block of 65,000 and copy and paste to additional files but that takes forever. I've opened it up in Access but from there, how do I export just a selection of records? It seems that I can only export the whole database instead of just parts of it. The Help is no good so I'm hoping here are some experts here who can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Slick, I have a friend who is a database wizard, I'm sure he has a solution to this - if it is possible. Only, it's late here, so I can't contact him until tomorrow.

    Goodnight!

Slick, this is what my friend said:

Do an auto increment with all records, then do a view, sort view by increment, in there, write select top 65.535 (that’s how many records it can take in one go) Then delete those records from Access (make a back-up first), then take the next 65.535. They will go in the next Excel sheet, then just continue to export and delete from view until you have them all.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Randi. That was a great help. I love it when you talk "tech"...
