Of course we can send Pet Talker Prayers your way for Boots.

Do you know why he can't keep his food down? Is it possible he is having problems with hair balls?

I understand your difficult situation, and can tell that your Boots means very much to you. How often is he vomiting? Several times a day, every time he eats ... in between meals? He could just have hairballs, but we need to know more specifically his symptoms. We can also pray for both Boots and you as well!

I understand the financial aspect - believe me!

Is he bringing anything up when he vomits? Is it after he eats? IS his food there, or does it look like something else? Hairballs sometimes look like individual pieces of hair in a yellowy substance, or they look like logs you'd think was poop. And they can be somewhere in between. Do you see whole pieces of food? Any grass or bugs or anything he might have eaten? Yes, it scary when your cat suddenly seems sick for the first time, for no apparent reason.

Lets get him through this crisis and then we can help you find low cost or FREE neuters for him. The younger you get him fixed, the better life he'll have - less risk of cancer, less risk of harm from getting out ot mate, less risk of territorial spraying in the house. There are free programs ouot there, you just need to know where to look. I promise!

Hi - sorry your baby is sick. If it is hairballs - you can get a tube of Laxatone for about $8 (usually from a vets office) . You squirt some on the top of his paw and let him lick it off. You do this about twice a week. One tube goes a long way.

I've also heard that you can let him lick vaseline off your fingers too but I never tried that.

I found this post on the cat fancy website.

My kitten (five months old) was hacking up hairballs and I asked the vet what to do. She told me to put vaseline on his foot, so he'd lick it off, or just feed it to him. After awhile, he began to just take it off my hands, without me having to put it on his paw to get him to lick it off. The vet says she gives it to her cats, so I don't think it's unsafe to give them regular old Vaseline. My husband's seven year old cat goes NUTS for it and he doesn't even have a hairball problem. My baby is no longer experiencing difficulties with the hairballs either now that I started using the Vaseline.

I have no kids and three cats myself - I know how you feel !!!

    Good Luck !!!
