I want my dog to be on it!!!!

I wish my dog was the dog of the day because he is so adorable and if you guys would see how cute he is you would be glad that HE was the dog of the day!!! I sent my e-mail to them like 3 days ago (today is august 6th) and they haven't given me a date yet!!!! Why is it taking them so long to put my dog as the dog of the day????

First, welcome to Pet Talk!

Second, we don't just assign a dog a day as soon as we get the nomination. Pets all go into a pool of candidates, when your dog is chosen for a particular day, we let people know. We always chose at least a week in advance, so it's never an instant turnaround anyway.

I think it was 3 or 4 months after I submitted my dog for DOTD before he "won"...I'm sure they get several submissions a day, but only one can "win"...so it definitely takes time!

It takes a while. I sent Simba's in and then about 4 months later he was "choosen".

I send my neighbor's dog "Terra" in to be nominated, on 3\12\2001, shes still not in. I takes patients. And it really helps if its a nice clear photo... Terra's wasnt that great so i am going to try on sending a different one in. Just be patient.

This thread really floored me. I thought that the DOTD was chosen because he deserved it and I still do. Chloe is a beautiful dog and every dog I have seen as DOTD so far has been extraordinary.
I want my dog to be on it!!!! What a strange comment. What happen to fair play, wait your turn if that is how it is done. I am always amazed when something like this is said.
I love my Ricky and I think he is adorable but DOTD material. I am not so sure, so far the competition has been pretty steep and every dog is just as cute, sweet and some even noble as my Ricky if not more. My hats off to every DOTD so far and I want them to know that their title was well deserved. I am sure that your dog is adorable but so are all the others. Wait your turn and use the time while you are waiting to learn about other people's dogs and their feelings towards their dogs. It might amaze you that you are not the only one that feels the way you do about your dog.
