    what would you want?

I need ideas for things to send to Paul! I can't send him anything that will melt, so candy is pretty much out and I'm not creative enough to come up with anything else. I plan on sending him video CDs of Tyler and myself from time to time, but I'm wanting to send him a box every week or two.
Any ideas?? I juist sent off a huge box today but it was all essentials. I feel bad that I wasn't at all creative beyond tucking in a note.

Hmmm....I guess if I were away from my family, I'd want to be as close to them as I could...so....

    Pictures
    Letter explaining what's going on
    Lovey dovey notes ♥
Books (to entertain him at night)
Can he listen to music?? If so, music
    What about hand held games?

Um, I'll try and think of some more and get back to you.

I'm gonna start putting together a box to mail out in a few days. I think I'll aslo raid the card section at the BX for all of the $.99 cards I can grab

Then, when you get here - you can raid the 2/$1 bin at the dollar stores! Lots of cute ones.

One day I made homemade bookmarks for some of the troops in Rob's unit. They had a soldiers prayer on them, I lamintated them, braided string and added a small cross from the craft store. I got so many thank you's. It really brightened my day and theirs as well. So, if you get a chance maybe you could do something like that. Some of the men I know didn't have anyone sending them things so I would also send a little bit of extra stuff that Rob could share.

Carrie's husband, Paul, who is in the British Army, told me one day on the Instant Messenger that gummy bears were perfect snacks for them because they wouldn't melt. Chocolate is not a good idea, according to him.

    Just a suggestion.
