I got 2 dwarf hamsters and the 1, donovan doesn't trust me at all, i try holding her and petting her and she always bites me! I think she is protecting T.O., her mate, but he is willing to be held. What should i do? She is getting out of control!

Try NOT holding her for now, just petting her when she is on her own turf. How long have you had her? Remember, hammies are prey animals, and bing picked up used to mean they were about to become someone's lunch!

i know...but my other hammi, Snick...she is fine when i pick her up...i got donovan about 3 weeks ago from a friend who couldn't take care of them...he got a little black lab puppy and is getting a german shepherd now...so i can't give her back. I have held her before, and when i get her out of the cage she's fine...but when i pet her, only on her back, she turns around quick and hits me with her paws or bites me...
