Dottie's gone too

I am also new here. My 14 year old Dottie passed away on Tues the 19th. It was just time for her to go and she died here at home. I am very sorry for all of you who have also lost your friends recently. I guess we all came here looking for comfort. I have 2 more kitties to keep me company. They are the best friends! I am so sorry for your lose it is so incredibley hard. The first week or so will be a blur. As I remember and I even had a really good support group. You will hear stupid people say well it was only a pet!! And that makes me so angry. The pet was probley there for you more than most family members and loved you UNCONDITIONALLY. That is why it hurts so bad. My cat is what I considered to be my real true best friend if you feel the same I can only imagine the pain that you are going through. So sorry to hear of your lose. Huge amount of hugs your way from me
