I finally got my courage up and took Bijou to our local dog park, a wonderful little 12-acre fenced-in park just a couple of miles from my house...it was such fun! She loved everything about it, and I was more relaxed than I thought I would be, once we got through the gateI didn't take any pictures of the puppers she met (and she did beautifully with the six or eight dogs that came over to say hello to her, I was soooo proud of my collie girl!) since it was our first time and I didn't want to scare anybody off, but I did take some of Bijou enjoying herself:
Here she is, already "sniff-happy" just inside the gate!
She finally got the hang of things -- she was free!
She loved everything from the wild flowers to the prairie grass!
"Hurry up, mum, you walk too slow!"
Look at that tongue! It was a scorcher here today!
I just loved seeing her stand so straight and tall -- she looked so happy!
She's at the base of a little hill...just about ready to run her mad-dash circles!
Go, Bijou, go!
