    What gorgeous kittys! These two are fine examples of orange cats, and they look so content in this picture.
    It is so true that cats can be your support system. They are always there for you, and their love is so wonderful.

    Those are two very cute kitties.

    We have recenty been through the worst ice storm in Mid-West history. Tree limbs weighing hundreds of pounds, in many cases, crashing down all around. No electric power and no heat. Sitting there in the dark wondering if the next one is going to smash the car or if this one is going to come right through the roof. The cats were more terrified than we were. During moments of peice Lamoni, our boy cat, would come out of hiding and cuddle with us. He never does that. "Daddy, make it stop."

    Support system. Yes, our cats are our support system. They give us a great gift. They allow us to love them. Giving love is more important than getting it. During these bad times our cats have given us this great gift. They are also a good barometer. Looking at my two precious ones sleeping peacefully lets me know that all is not wrong with the world.

    Cuddle these little angels. They will feel better and so will you.

    For a moment there I wasn't sure your story would have a happy ending!! But if ever anyone had reason to celebrate the miracle of the Christmas season, you dear guardian surely had! How wonderful that Earl Grey found his way home!!! And then, a Christmas gift as special as could be. A basket brimming with orange fur!! Your babies are so beautiful! When I saw their picture, I wanted to do nothing else but go lay down and hug something furry!! You entire furfamily sounds so very special!! And I know the comfort and solace they provided you during those difficult times was the finest Christmas gift of all! Yea, for Mele and Kaliki!! Thank you for giving your human hope, comfort and so much love!! Congratulations to this lovely orange pair, our most cherished, most beautiful, most deserving Cats of the Day!!

    What a wonderful story and picture of two beautiful babies, sleeping so peacefully because they know they were rescued and now are loved beyond measure! You whole family sounds so wonderful. I am happy that everyone is safe and sound and yes Maka and Earl will share Mele and Kaliki's special honor. Now doesn't Mele Kaliki Maka mean "Merry Christmas" in Hawaiian?

    I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if that reason is not clear at the time.

    As for the companionship of animals, I have often wondered what I would have done at times if I did not have my 2 kitties (and now a dog).

    So glad that your 'family' has been there for each other! , and what a purrfect picture!
