Do you like where you live?

The "What temperature..." thread made me come up with this one.

I'm wondering if you like where you live. (the city and state, I mean)

We moved to Austin from Dallas 2 years ago, and I still hate it here. It's a city filled with construction and rude people. At least the weather stayed the same.

Where do you live and do you love it or hate it?

The gang and I (Me, Jen, 2 kids, a dog, two cats........) just moved to central NY this past winter, and compared to Mass we love it. Jen doesn't have to work, she can be a mom, which Marylin-Jean loves, and we have plenty of room for Lady, Marylin Jean, and when he gets old enough, Axel, to play outside withou having to worry about it.

I like Colorado a lot. It's beautiful. But the town I live in No, I dont like it very much. It's so small there is nothing to do, no jobs, ect ect.... I was born here and it looks like I may die here. Lol.

Thank you Kay for the beautiful sig!

I was born in California, lived here my whole life, and just 'love' it here. It is such a beautiful place to live. When I go anywhere else, I find myself grieving over the lack of mountains/hills. LOL! The weather these days makes me love it even more. So beautiful. Of course it has its drawbacks, but overall, I love California as a state, and I love my city too!

We live in Sydney, Australia. It's more or less like any other metroplolis. I would much rather live on the coast, but the need for jobs, makes Sydney the place to be. (I would love to live in Colorado, I think it's a top place )

Love it weatherwise, as I am just weird, I guess. We have many seasons here (winter, spring, mud, summer, desert, autumn, sleet, then winter again) and all kinds of weather. I live in a "city" but have nice neighbors, a quiet street and trees in the back - not a house behind my house. (Beyond the trees is a cemetary, so it's quiet, at least!) I'd like to have a bigger yard, and live where there are more trees than people, but I have every conceivable kind of restaurant within a couple miles, can walk to the (really good) library, and my choice of open-24-hours businesses. It is culturally diverse (the supermarket has as many varied languages spoken as any "international" event), has varied terrain, and is interesting. I like it.

I wouldn't mind trading some of the conveniences for fewer houses and more land, but you can't have everything, i guess. Unless youre a bazillionaire - there are homes with decent amounts of land in Newton, I just couldn't afford to buy one - property values are sky-high around here.

    But I like it!

I like where I live (just outside Calgary Alberta Canada).

It's beautiful here, it doesn't get too hot in the summer and doesn't get too cold (for very long) in the winter. I am so close to the mountains if I want to go hiking etc.

I can't see myself ever leaving this area of Alberta.

When I first moved to California, I didn't like the lack of changing seasons, but now that I've lived here for several years, I really love it. The weather is great! There is never an excuse that "there is nothing to do", because there's always something to do! It's beautiful and the weather can't be beat. It does have it's drawbacks (traffic and cost of living), but I don't see myself leaving for a very long time.

I love Vancouver. The weather is great (well, I like rain so I think it's great. ) You can find and do anything here. You can go snowboarding, hiking, go to the beach, go rock climbing and a whole bunch of other stuff without going too far. And there are tons of dog related things around here too.

Love it. Not many places where I could keep 22 dogs without a problem! I love winter so this is a great climate for me. I could do without the darkness in the winter, but a light therapy lamp helps with that.

I grew up on the Prairies and still love the flatland, but I find now when I visit, it's not home anymore. It's where my roots are, where my family is, but my home is the Yukon.

Aww, I'm sorry you don't like it I've never noticed a difference between Dallas/Austin people. I did get scared of Dallas people for awhile after a horrible trip where people were flipping me off when driving on the highway, mean customer service people at the places I went, etc. I've decided that was probably just a bad coincidence though.

I LOVE Austin! It seems to have something for everyone. I could do without the humidity and the construction, but love everything else.
