Bacon & cheddar treats for the kids (pics)

In celebration of my 2000th post, I baked some treats for the kids, and took some pictures.

    The recipie;

    Bacon cheddar treats

3 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT OR RICE FLOUR
    1/2 TEASPOON GARLIC SALT
*1/2 CUP BACON (COOKED AND CRUMBLED)
    (RESERVE FAT)
    1 CUP SHREDDED MILD CHEESE
    1 EGG
    1 CUP SKIM MILK

Place flour and garlic salt in large bowl. Stir in bacon fat. Add cheese, egg and bacon. Gradually add enough milk to form a dough ball. Knead and roll out about 1/2 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out in fun shapes. Place treats on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until they start to brown. Let cool overnight (it makes them crunchy). Store in airtight container.

*may substitute with turkey bacon and veg. oil

    The biscuit mix,

    The dough,

    Ready to shape,

    Ready to bake,

Flute- Are they ready yet dad?

Wake us when they are done,

    More coming...........

    Good job, Dad!

I like your cookie jar. When you open it, does it say "Who let the dogs out?"

Great pictures! What breed is Possum?

That's a cute cookie jar too, hehe.
