    .......Dachshunds.......

I was wondering...how much of you have dachshunds??
They are not very common here, so I wanted to know.

I love all dogs, but I especially fell in love with dachshunds, so I wanted to know if the same happened to other people....

We rescued an older dachshund one time, A man threw her out of the window in a parking lot so my mom went over and coaxed her into the car. We named her Dancer because she was dumped in Dancer's parking lot. Well anyway, we took her to the vet who said she was about 12...We had her for about a week and then my dad's friend who had their dachshund just die took her in and named her Sadie!!

I have one Dachshund named Tia but she doesn't really look like a regular Dachsie, she's really small and her ears aren't like other Dachshunds either but I still think she's adorable lol I don't really know why she looks the way she does since both of her parents look like regular ones. Here's a few pictures of her:

Your Anita is a really beautiful girl!

I've got a rat terrier/doxieX named Mazie. most people mistake her for a doxie though. What do you think?

The top one and the bottom one are before her ear popped up. In the middle picture she is a little older and one of her ears has come up. I'm beginning to doubt if the other will stand up though. I say she has one ear from mom and one ear from dad.

Used to have a B&T mini growing up- it was my grandma's dog but I was raised at that house- meanest little dog ever but that never stopped me from trying to be friends with her. Died (pts) of cancer at age 8. We have a standard breeder around here that takes them to the dog park frequently. I love the tricolors (reminds me that they are true hounds ) and the long hairs.

I actually never seen a dog with Anita's personality!! Doxies are like humans, everything they do, they do it for their own good.
Anita has a special unusual personality. She is the boss in our family, and if she wants something, she insistes until she obtains it!
