    you're suppost to be weened!

My kitten (from the pound and 2 months old) , has this very,VERY, annoying habit of trying to nurse off everyone and everything she can get her little razor sharp claws on. Has she been weened too early?Perhaps this is something she'll grow out of? " Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."

all my cats in the past and right now make "biscuits" or "knead bread" whatever you want to call it. Some suck on things too like blankets or clothing. My RB Mytsi right up until she got ill used to make "biscuits" and suck on the blanket when she was settling in for a nap. I don't know if it comes from being weened too early or not. I got Mytsi when she was 8 weeks old and she still did it. Now I have Vixen whom I got when she was 5 weeks old she still does the biscuit making but she doesn't suck on things. She was weened earlier and doesn't do it. I think maybe it's just the way some cats get settled. Don't be annoyed with her she is just being loving.

My rainbow bridge babies have forever left their paw prints on my heart.
Lilith & Vixen, taken too soon. I love you always.

If the kitten has any siamese blood in her, she may very well continue this on into adulthood. As young as she is, though, she's probably still just having kittenish instincts. This will likely stop being so frequent, and hopefully she'll grow out of it.

There's no much you can do to stop it, as far as I know, though I'll be happy to be overruled by someone more knowledgeable.
