    Harold's Dropsy.. Before & After pics :`(

    Poor baby.. I hope he'll be a little bit better by tomorrow..

    I was just going to post pics in case any of you might be able to tell me how far into the disease he is.

    Side view, how he is now -the lump right behind his gills-... (as you can see, his colors have dulled out quite a bit)

    OH MY! Yes, DROPSY! You've gotten him on those meds, right?? I have my fingers crossed for Harold! The survival rate from dropsy is not the best, and he looks quite far along in the disease.

    Yes, he is on Maracyn-Two. But this is his first day on the meds. My poor betta boy. Prayers from ANYONE would be greatly appreciated.

    Oh my yes, he definitely has dropsy . That last picture especially shows the "pinecone" effect. Poor little guy . He'll be in my prayers. I sure hope the Maracyn can help him. It really all depends on how strong he is. I believe I read somewhere that if caught and treated, there is a 50/50 survival rate.

    Devon, I'm very sorry to hear that Harold didn't make it. Dropsy is a nasty condition and by the time it's noticeable, it's often hard to do much about it. You tried your best though and I don't think he really suffered long from what you said.
