My 10-year-old dog, Peppy, a Border Collie mix, didn't eat his food or treats at all today. He seems quieter than usual, too. What could be wrong with him? Should he go to the vet?

YUP! Off to the vet...! If you feel something is wrong, it probably is....bring him in asap.
Good luck and welcome to Pet Talk...let us know how it goes....
He seemed better today. He didn't eat all of his food, but most of it. And his nose is cold and wet today. Yesterday it was dry and warm (doesn't that mean fever?) and I was getting really worried. But I think he'll be fine now.
My vet has said that a dry/warm nose doesn't really mean a dog is sick. . it just means they haven't licked their nose
It's good that Peppy is feeling better! My BC starts to eat less often when the weather gets warm, I think he's just hotter and he's adjusting to the heat, then he gets his appetite back after the initial few weeks. If Peppy goes more than a day without eating (especially if he isn't drinking much water), and he seems sick to you, you should at least call the vet to get his/her opinion . . I hope Peppy is healthy and it's just his appetite!
also. . pictures of Peppy are welcome
Yeah, I don't know what was the matter with him. I'll try to get some pictures of him to show you!
