It is not reasonable to expect your cat to go hungry whilst you are in bed, however there are two alternatives solutions.

What about using a timer bowl. Fill it with breakfast of dry food set the timer and the bowl will open in the morning whilst you are
    still in bed.

Or free feed your cat by always having a bowl of dry food out ready for her to eat when she is ready.

    Good Luck

I had one that DEMANDED to be fed at 5 am and 5 pm and there was NO way you could make him wait! He did not give up umtil you got out of bed and fed him at 5 am....

When Chester started waking me up early in the morning to be fed, I figured out real fast to fill his bowl BEFORE I went to bed and that worked.. That is easy is you feed them dry food.

yes i agree...if you use dry food and put out just before you go to bed that should eliminate problem for you, but be careful, if your cat is an indoor cat only, you should not leave food in bowl 24/7,( in my opinion), put them on a schedule, so they don't get overweight, which is easy for an indoor cat to do...Goodluck!!!

It's great if your cat exclusively a dry food eater. But no matter what if dry food is out and they are hunger they will eat that. I would like to find a solution for my Vixen. She is a 6:30 am demander. They always have dry food available and Lilith will settle for that until someone gets up to give her that wet food treat. Not Vixen by 6:30 every morning she is screaming down the house and won't stop until someone (ME, hubby never stirs) gets up and gives her that bloody grilled chicken fancy feast. I should have known it was a mistake spoiling them rotten but they are sooooo irresistable. And beside she couldn't exactly eat kibble when she was 5 weeks old and that is when I got her as her furry mommy wouldn't feed her anymore. Here is a pic of her at 5 weeks bottle feeding. We wanted to make sure she got all the vitamins and nutrients she needed while so young so some good quality kitten milk and a bottle and away we went. Needless to say that bottle was nippleless in no time.

My rainbow bridge babies have forever left their paw prints on my heart.
Lilith & Vixen, taken too soon. I love you always.
