Is there a reason why you don't want to spay her?![]()
one day i will like her to have kittens.
How old is she? Has she been checked by the vet? Urinating everywhere could be because of a urinary tract infection, and it is best to get that checked.
Weeing outside the box can be an UTI fatal if left untreated.Originally posted by sooby707

Please get this cat to the vets asap. Here are the more common uti symptoms.

Also check if you have enough trays etc.

I would only consider breeding your cat if :-
She is a registered papered show quality pure breed with a breeding contract.
If you know her background for a minimum of three generations on both mother and fathers side and they are all registered pure breeds with breeding contract.
She has been tested clear for all common genetic problems that breed can carry. If you don't know this one you don't have enough knowledge to breed.
She has been tested clear of FIV & FELV is over a year old or close too two years and has been though at least one heat cycle.
If you are willing to pay top dollar stud fee for an proven blood tested clear stud who is registered with a breeding contract. He must alsi have a suitable three generation family tree and carry no genetic problems.
Need to have emergency money in the bank in case of vet bills $1000 ios about right if your cat needs a c-section at midnight. Are you willing to hand feed the kittens if your cat dies in labour etc.
If you are willing to register the kittens when they are born and pay for first vaccinations for every kitten before they leave your home.
Rehome each kitten responsible with a contract stating they must neuter the non breeders before 6 months old .
If you do the above you are on the way to being a responsible breeder and it costs money to be a responsible breeder.
However if you ignore all the above advice you a back yard breeder who is churning out problem filled kittens which will add to the population problem.
Or third option you have read the above advice and feel that breeding is not for you and get your cat spayed.
You can always foster a pregnant cat from your local shelter if you want kittens in the house. In this way you are helping a bad situation not creating it![]()

welcome to PT!!!!... yes i agree...have kitten checked by a vet, she may or may not have urinary tract infection(UTI), and if you have no wish to become a registered breeder, if you want more kitties in the house,.... please, please, please!!!!,...go to the local shelter and save some!!!!!...there is no shortage of kitties who need a second chance!!!... i hope that your kitty turns out to be just fine, and is there a name for your kitty???....post pics if you can...GOOD LUCK!!!...keep us posted on how things are....![]()

ZIP and SHY R.I.P. my beautiful girls
well to start her name is shay she has all of her shots and shes perfectly fine. no, she is not a full breed and no i do not want to become a breeder i do agree on to give other cats and kittens chances and i have. i have 2 other cats at home and both were from a shelter. i just feel like i dont want to take the gift of having kittens away from her and yes i would be helping the problem but at the same time i will keep them unless someone will like to have one. but i could say wheather i would give them away or not when the time comes.and on top of it she will be a house cat so the only way she would get pregnant is if i brought another cat in the house and its not like im going to force her.
Trust me, I promise she won't be sad about it!i just feel like i dont want to take the gift of having kittens away from her.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!
i guess she wont but i wouldnt know that for sure.
How will she know? I'm sorry, but she's not going to realize that she never had kittens. It's also very painful and stressful for the momma cat. It can also put her at a higher risk for cancer because you don't have her spayed. Every heat cycle she has will put her at a higher risk for mammary cancer. Do your kitty a favor, take her to the vet for a urine sample then get her spayed.Originally posted by sooby707

I do not breed cats nor do I believe in breeding whilst so many cats are put to sleep in our shelters every year. All eight of my rescue cats and two ex-feral fosters are moggies. I would not swap any of them for a grand champion of any pure breed.
However there are very valid reasons for ONLY breeding pure bred pedigree cats. Prevention of deformed sick kittens and possible death of the mother cat being the easiest to explain.
Also cats bred by back yard breeders, often end up in poor homes and contribute highly to the cat population problem, which I affects people like me who end up having to rescue these cats and their offspring from the streets.
A responsible breeder will take back any cat bred by one of her cats for any reason and will rehome as appropriate and though this does not prevent pure breeds in shelters, it cuts the chances considerably.
If someone wants to breed their cat, we cannot stop them, however we educate them with the basic steps to become a responsible breeder rather than a back yard breeder. So they only breed a small numbers of healthly and desirable kittens.
For those who have no idea about the difference between a backyard breeder and a responsible breeder here is a basic outline I have written for my ‘whyneuter’ site.

Cosmicat,
I do not care if you like me or not, I post on this forum with the aim of helping other people and their cats with the limited knowledge I have. Being rude to me is simply a poor reflection of your character.
I do not accept critism from those who fail to contribute to the solution.
I post to help people. You post to insult people.
Who in the end will make a difference ?
Cosmicat & ANTH055,
PIF is just trying to make a point, not win a poularity contest. Not having a cat fixed leads to many problems. For instance, Pyometria, which is fatal to a cat. Cervical and uterine cancer.
What if she happened to get out of the house???the only way she would get pregnant is if i brought another cat in the house
Then there's the issue of the kittens. Doesn't matter if there purebreed or not. There are MILLIONS of unwanted cats and kittens out there right now. You adding to the problem wouldn't help any. You want to see kittens born, RENT A MOVIE!!!! It's people like you that keep the cat rescuers of this world busy!!

well i know for sure that she does not have a uti shes just not use to the yet an i was just wandering a trick or something that might help thats all!!
oops sry i missed a word shes not use to the litter box
Sooby,
You might want to try confining her in a room with her litterbox, food and water. When I got my very first cat, I had to do that. She was a barn cat and the world was her litterbox. It only took 24 hours for her to get the hint.
Good luck!!
