Eye Allergy

My year old Golden's left eye...actually the lid and surrounding skin are pink. The eye ball is fine and the right eye is fine. All the rest of her body is fine. Vet thinks it's an allergy tho. First we tried Benedryl...no luck...then an anti-inflammatory drop...didn't work. Now 1/2 tab prednisone every other day....I haven't seen much improvement. She itches it only once in a while not a lot. The vet said he has seen it where only one eye is affected...I think it's odd tho. I switched her food to Eagle Pack lamb & rice.

Anyone ever heard of or experienced anything like this? Thanks much for any ideas.

I haven't experienced anything like this, so I'm not much help!

If you haven't seen much improvement, it may not be an allergy at all. Infact it could be a number of things. Maybe you should take her to a different vet to get a second opinion.
