    Cape Cod pics

I live in such a beautiful part of the country and thought I'd share some pics I've been meaning to post! We're lucky in that Cape Cod has not only ocean, but the sound (south side) Cape Cod Bay (north side, where I live) lots of lakes, kettle ponds, marshes, creeks, etc. If you like water, we've got it; all kinds! The beach shots are from a beach about a 10 min. walk from my house. The lake a few minutes drive. Some are of the herring run (should be running soon!) some from the marsh down to a beach which is nationally protected and a few are from the blizzard in Jan. 36 inches!

More to come. Hope you'll come back

How beautiful!!! I absolutely LOVE Cape Cod!! When I lived in CT, I used to drive there every Indian Summer. Such a peaceful place, especially the dunes!! More pictures!! They make me homesick!

The Cape Playhouse behind my house. It's the oldest summer theatre in the country. Fun to see photos of all the BIG stars that use to perform there in the summer, e.g. Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis! And there were no hotels, so they just stayed at the homes of the locals!

The Cape Cinema, on the grounds of the Playhouse. It's a converted church, our local movie theatre! Big arm chairs with doilies for seating with an awesome mural painted on the ceiling. Everyone brings homemade goodies to serve at the showing, for free

Guess that's all for now. The blizzard can wait

Thanks Donna! I'll post more this Spring and Summer so you can daydream! Actually, I love CT

Thanks Katie! Blaze would have a blast on the beach! Every night in the summer, the Aussies and BCs put on quite a frisbee show!

Such lovely photos, thanks for sharing. That sure isn't the Cape Cod one sees from within the traffic on Route 6 any summer weekend! With all that water, it's no wonder it's Retriever Land! Right, Star?

I was just telling my husband today that we live in an aesthetically challenged part of the country. After seeing your pictures I realize even more how true that is. I know you have had your hardships during the Nor'easterns this winter, but my God, during the rest of the year, you are in HEAVEN. This kind of landscape is sufficient to replentish one's spirit and restore one's soul. I'm getting peace and joy just looking at these pictures. What must it be like to live in such a place? Is there such a thing as more beauty than one absorb and still be standing? I think I might faint from the sheer magnitude of it all.
