    I'm shrinking!!!

    After much nagging on my bosses part I finally went to the doctor to get checked out. (I've been plagued by a cold for the past week and a half...nasty cough for the most part)

    My appointment was this morning and normally they just weigh me but this time they did a weight/height/Body Mass Index check.

    Weight = 133 lbs.

    YAY! After my Endo diagnosis the meds I was on ballooned me to over 150 lbs. Slim-Fast and exercise and persistance paid off.

    Height = 5'5"

    I was like... Are you sure that's right? I've shrunk an inch!! I swear I'm going to chug the rest of the milk when I get home. I realize I'm going to shrink a little naturally but I'm trying so hard to not get Osteoporosis. And I didn't think I'd start going in reverse at age 27!!

    BMI = 22

    For a female my age, height, and weight, normal BMI is 26. So if my body fat count is low....what's up with the love handles!?

    No fever and cholesterol is way low. My lungs sound good.

    Diagnosis is that I have a Viral Upper Respiratory infection though and she prescribed me some nice meds that I hope will kick this thing out of my system.

    I can't believe I'm shrinking...

    Don't sweat the measurement too much. I was measured by two different health professionals within a couple months. One came in at 5'5" and another at 5'6". All my life I've considered myself as 5' 5 1/2", that is probably what I still am.

    Congratulations on the weight loss. You are exactly where I'd like to be.

    So many people have that bug right now which seems to really hang on. Just take good care and don't over do it once you start to feel a bit better.

    Would you believe I haven't been to the doctor since 1988...the year my twins were born?

    It may be time to go pretty soon.

    Anywho, I'm 5'9" and have been for awhile. I currently weigh 164 which puts my BMI at 24. It's a little high, but that explains why I'm doing this stupid Atkin's diet.

    EDIT: I can't believe I just put my weight on the internet. I must feel really comfortable around you all.

    Oh come on Catnapper! Can you tell us if you gained, lost, or hanging steady?

    PJ'sMom, glad you feel comfortable. And I don't think 164 at that height is overweight at all. Good luck with the Atkins though.

    At least I'm 5'6" in shoes.

    And I definitely need to take better care of myself.. I'm on the go so much, no wonder my body is so tired.

    Ok, I'll admit to loosing about 20 pounds since before Christmas. The doctor told me my cholesterol was starting to get high, so I have been doing the "slow and steady" way of loosing weight. I still have at least another 20 to go to make my doctor happy, but I feel the pounds I took off already will stay off, so I'm happy.

    All that said by the woman who's been eating marshmallow Peeps all morning and just ate a McDonald's lunch.
