    I had a huge scare! (+3 pics)

Last night I'm lying in bed and I hear this chirping sound (it's 2 am and I work at 6:30!) I was so confused by it because it wasn't a cricket so I didn't know what it could be. Then I start to imagine some sort of giant hissing type cockroach just waiting to crawl all over me. No offense to those who love roaches, just one of my biggest fears is having them crawl on me. So I finally get so scared that I get out of bed and turn on the lights, since the sound stopped I figured it had to be a roach!

10 minutes later the sound starts up again, I had two curious kitties staring at my tank. Sure enough Pac Man was serenading Frogger! I was relieved to find that it wasn't a giant bug!

So now I finally know for sure that I have a pair!

I thought I'd include 3 new pics of them.

Not to laugh at your scare, but it was comical imagining it . What adorable froggies! I love the white gravel, makes them nice and easy to see.

I've been reading about ADFs since my sister wants one, and I remember reading about that. I would have been scared, too.

I showed my sister the pictures, she thinks your frogs are very cute and she loves the names! (So do I!)

If you are curious as to what their croaking sounds like here's a link to a WAV file. Pac Man's voice is higher pictched so it sounds more like a chirp.

    Croak!

Only the males make the sound, so if yours is a female then you won't ever hear anything. I think for the most part it's a mating call, so I think he was trying to convince Frogger that he was a hottie!

I'm not exactly sure how they are able to make the sound underwater, I just know that they do!

I highly doubt it. Before I added a second frog I made sure that I wasn't going to have babies if I ended up with a pair. It's very hard to breed them, even if they did breed odds are the eggs would get damaged or they would eat the eggs.
