Hi Floyd! What a beautiful bird! I'm so sorry to hear about your past, but you are now in a safe and loving home. Gotta love the name--that's a strong name in my family (grandpa, dad, and my brother are all named Floyd!). Happy flapping

Oh Floyd, what a little champ you are, and such a charmer! I am continually amazed by the resiliency of the animal's spirit to overcome so many hardships, from injuries like yours to neglect and abuse. One thing these amazing stories all have in common though, is a very caring and special human like yours, who take in the lost or damaged creatures and nurture them back to physical as well as emotional health once again. Floyd, your journey back to health and happiness has been an amazing success! You are an inspiration to animals and humans alike.

I hope today is an especially fun-filled and treat filled day, with all your very favorites, Cheerios, bananas, and butternut squash, YUM! Congratulations to you Floyd, our beautiful, spirited, socialite Pet of the Day!

Fantastic Floyd!

It hurts so to picture you laying helpless by the roadside, both of your precious little legs broken What a brave little birdie you were, finding the strength to hang on until help arrived! Your courage and will to survive are truly humbling! We give thanks to your guardian angels...your rescuer, your vet and your devoted Mom for helping you to heal not only physically, but emotionally as well! But in the end, it was your HUGE heart that pulled you through What a joyful, happy, life loving, people loving creature you've grown up to be, Floyd! And what a stellar amabassador of the bird world you are, doing your part in educating the public about you amazing creatures! You are one very special feathered kid indeed and so deserving of the title, PET OF THE DAY!!! Congratulations to you and your wonderful guardian, sweet Floyd! I hope today you and your proud person enjoy a very happy day of celebration...and that you get all the Cheerios, bananas and butternut squash your heart desires!
