    Grandma's Little helpers!

My parents have been visiting this week. My Mom is a knitter and for some reason thought she'd be able to do some work in this house!

Onyx and Pete "help" keep the yarn tight enough!

Pete was the biggest help, but little Felicia wanted to help, especially with the needles too!

You can actually knit and have cats at the same time (but it does take practice). I will admit that my bamboo needles have little kitty teeth marks in them because someone (Tanner) wanted to learn to knit

Too funny! My kitties are always helpful when I'm crocheting. Cammie contributes as much cat hair to the project as possible. Halo lies under whatever project I'm working on and Pepper is in charge of "yarn tension control". She lies on the skein on yarn and will allow just the right amount of yarn to be pulled.

Aren't kitty helpers the best? I noticed your mother doesn't look too upset with all the help.

My cat isn't too interested in the yarn, she'd rather play with the knitting needles.

Too funny. I try all the time to cross stitch but it's really hard when I put a stitch in and some kitty takes the stitch right back out.

Oh gosh, that's too funny. I noticed your Mom took time out to pet the kitties.

Tee hee hee! Most of my Project Linus afghans incorporate cat hair. Don Juan helps me regulate tension by biting the yarn , which means I have to wash them before turning them in.

And... he's also figured out that he can stop me knitting by climbing on my shoulder and parking his 14-pound torso under my chin.

Of course, when the piece gets big enough, he can just lie down on it so I can't turn.
