Favorite Toys!!!!!

I'm sure you've already chatted about them, but being new i was wondering what your kitties favorites are?

dodger LOVES ball. (He has so many, but adores pink ball) and if you say "Ball" he looks at you and meows in a way that sounds like he's ball...like mrr-awl! And then will run and unearth it for you where ever he's hidden it and is all set for a rousing game of fetch. (You'd think we'd have informed him by now that he's a cat, not a dog, but it's tooooo cute!)

Awww Dodger, that is SO cute!!!
My kitty Puff loves her mini whiffle ball (or a practice golf ball). It is white with little holes all over it. I get a bag of them all the time, because she tends to lose them constantly.
Also All my kitties LOVE the laser pointer, and anytime they even see me pick it up they gather around for a game of chase And the furry mice from Hartz... But only under supervision, as they eat them if I dont watch closly.
Also those milk jug tops and twisty ties from bread.. I never give them to the furkids, they always just find them and play

teirza is a red ribbon with gold bow girl. The bow is a little less "bow-y" than it used to be but she'll drag it into her kitty cave and sleep with it. Wouldn't want to risk Dodger playing with it while she was asleep.









Teirza told me recently she wished Dodger would play with ribbon like any self respecting cat... but she's not willing to share. dodger USED to have purple bow which he liked to have tied on him. he'd sit all proper and proud. But kitty daddy thought it made him look not so manly and he was already mad that I'd made Dodger a snuggle boy. The purple bow somehow got "lost in the move"

i'm reading now though that maine coons and ragamuffins play fetch....so perhaps Dodger isnt a nut job

What cute pictures. That Dodger looks like such a fun boy.

Jazz and Rocky play fetch. Jazz prefers fuzzy mice and Rock prefers foil balls. My husband bought Rocky and I a bag of Hershey Kisses for Valentine's Day so I can eat the chocolate and Rocky can have the foil wrapper.

All my gang love the laser light and the plastic ring off the milk jug too.

The all time favorite and most used toy here is the Turbo Tracker!

It was only about $10 at Wal-Mart and the middle has corrugated cardboard for scratching and those middles are replaceable.

All the pictures so far are cute! Mine also like the furry mice and glitterballs.

Actually we just got a 2nd for upstairs! Not only is it fun, it's got a scratching mat in the middle!

All 4 cats love that toy (just $10, and loads of fun - we first got it last spring and wondered why we hadn't gotten it sooner - it's easy to replace the cardboard things when they get worn out too). Here's a pic of Leila and one of Leo with it:





As you can see Leila is the most playful of our cats, although all of them play quite a bit. Here's one of Leila on her 1st b'day (11/25/03) enjoying all her presents - goofy isn't she?


Leila and Claudia love little mice - the ones from PetSmart that are pastel colors and look real and have a little shaker noise, as well as others about that size and those bright ones from Hartz. Bailey, Leila and Leo LOVE the laser pointer - Bailey & Leila go absolutely nuts over it, and even though Leo is our laziest cat, he gets going with that thing too - we just got it as a present from my parents at Christmas - I can't believe we hadn't bought it before! Claudia loves any kind of ball, but especially some sparkly ones with beads in them that we got at Petco for Halloween and Christmas - she likes if you take a ball or tinsel ball or something and roll it to her while she's on her side - she kicks it back to you like it's soccer. Bailey has this one toy from kittenhood that is still one of his faves - it's a little pink and blue soft ball with a subtle shaker in it that he goes nuts for - one time we lost it and he was sad, but I keep close tabs on it - that's the one toy he always goes back to. All of our cats like teaser wands too, especially if they make noise, as well as PetSmart Cat Crazies (plastic things for the floor) and milk rings/bread ties/paper bags/boxes of any kind.

Who knew an umbrella drying could be so fun? Bailey & Leila (this was before Leo & Claudia) loved it! Such little things entertain them sometimes.

Leila loves boxes too - she didn't drink before this picture was taken - she is just wacky on her own:



Leila also is the only one of our four cats that can fit in my husband's drumset bass drum hole - isn't this cute?

Snowy's favorite toy is the plush end of a pole toy.
(I bought replicas of this toy, because we had a scare and thought it was gone.)

He carries it around and talks. He places it by the door, if we are away. It is a summons for us to come home.




Snowy really has had this toy forever. (don't tell him that this one is actually a replica, the original was tragically lost)


If you could only hear the sounds he's making!

I tried copying the properties of one of the pictures and pasted it into the browser - it says Imagestation is down right now - it happens quite often. That is when you will see the dreaded red X
