    Where Have I Been...

Sorry I've been so scarce lately and have missed many threads. I've been having a major problem at work and have been afraid to get on the internet. I did not want to give any fuel to the fire. We've had company for over a week, so when I got home most of the time was devoted to their entertainment. Now I've come down with the respiratory flu and just don't feel like moving much. I hope all is well with everyone, and SO happy to see Catmandu has his computer!!! YIPPEEEEEEE

Hazel is losing quite a bit of weight and the vet is getting very concerned on what we should do at this point. He ran more blood work and we still take her in several times a week for sub-fluids. I will do everything I can until I feel she's suffering.

Kurby's doing well and him and Mouser get in so much trouble. This morning as I was moaning and groaning coughing, and basically feeling sorry for myself.....what do they do....knock over the living room lamp and tear out of there! Luckily nothing was broke, and the only damage was me trying to move off the couch!

It's pouring today so the poor park cats are probably drenched. I hate thinking about them right now.

Hopefully things will settle down at work and I won't have to worry if I have a job here real soon!

Once I'm better I will start posting to the threads! Have a good weekend everyone.

What the heck is up with everyone and job problems? I can understand why you've got the flu. Work stress has probably helped bring it on. I'm going through the same thing right now and I swear I have worried myself so much that now I'm down with a rotten cold. It is mentally and physically exhausting when you have to worry above and beyond the normal work pressures. It makes you sick.
I know you haven't been checking in recently so you may not have heard. Jen's husband lost his job, my husband lost his job of twenty years, and my head is on the chopping block right now. I'm waiting for the axe to fall! I'm thinking there was someone else too. Then you post and mention problems at work now too. I don't know what is going on but it is very scary. I won't even be lurking from work now. I'm afraid to use the phone, email, or leave my desk to use the bathroom! I don't know how they expect you to be able to do your job when they put you under this kind of pressure. It's AWFUL!!!

I'm so sorry to hear things aren't good with Hazel. She will be getting many prayers.
I am very happy to hear that Kurby and Mouser are doing so good. Good enough to get into trouble even!

Lisa I really hope you get to feeling better real soon. We will add you to the list of people needing prayers and hoping things work out for you on your job. If you need to talk I'm here and I sure understand how you feel right now. Of course, I won't respond until I get home!

Oh my, I haven't read these posts. I've been at my job for 21 years now, and this is what I get!? It is all very scary and I'm sorry to hear of everyone else's job problems. I know what you mean, I will not e-mail or anything! UGH...and I do believe stress brought this flu on for me. I've been so stressed I haven't even slept at night, sick to my stomach, etc. Prayers for everyone!

Boy do I understand! I'm shaking like a leaf in the wind knowing that I have to go back in there Monday. Just the thought of it brings up my dinner!
I keep telling myself that it is only a job and it's not worth doing this to myself but somebody has got to put food on the kitties plates! It's very frightening and extremely sad to be put in this situation. I have 15 years on my job but I guess that doesn't really matter anymore.
Hang in there Lisa. I firmly believe that something good comes from everything and one day I'm going to look back on this and be thankful that it happened. I just can't wait for that day to come!!!

I'm so sorry for all the work related problems people have been having. Stuff like this scares me when I think about getting out in the real world.

Lisa, I sent you an e-mail a few days ago ... guess you were *afraid* to read your mail! I am so sorry you are down sick now .... yep, stress will do it everytime. I have a sore throat and cold now myself, so something is going around here too. I wish I had a magic wand to wave over you, CCL and her hubby and Jen's hubby Charles. Gosh, I would surely fix this if I could! However, I CAN and WILL pray for you all!
Try to hang in there, take care of your health first, and know that we are all here for you!

Glad the nawtee kitties are keeping you *entertained*!

I'm so sorry that Hazel is declining ... will remember that situation in my prayers as well.
