    My wolf pictures!!!

Wow, I dont think I have ever posted my own thread in Dog General.
These are me and my families wolves. Angel is a Redwolf; Cheyanne is a timberwolf
They are almost 3 years old, and are just so sweet(both females).
They eat hard large breed IIams food, Alpo Large canned dog food ( 2 cans per dog per day) and fresh meat. They love whole chicken and any kind of beef. We feed them fresh meat 3-4 times per week. They get bread and peanut butter 4 pieces a day. They are expensive, but we love them They are alot to care after also!
We keep them outside only, and they have 1/2 acre fenced in with a chained length fence just for them, and then 2 rows of electric wires. The other 3/4 acre is for their excercise, with their toys and pool(their fav in summer) and other things. *they dig alot and can bury out* so we have to keep them contained by law. They only get one chance (unlike other dogs, they get 2 chances) to bite, and even though they never have, I would never trust them out alone Just being cautious I guess.
ALSO< they have a storage building we bought to keep them warm, they love it underneath where they can burrow i
n their hay and sand. It has a heat lamp for them also
Enough of my chattering, Here are some pictures
Angel And Cheyanne: This picture is my favorite, it was taken tonight

lol. Same with my dogs. We did let them stay inside until they were 1. They hated it. They never potty trained. They just WANTED outside, and still hate coming inside. If we try to let them in, they run, lol Some doggies just want to be wild things

Very pretty! What percentage wolf are they? They look more like malamutes/huskies than wolves to me.

We got them from a lady who rescues abondoned/ abused wolves. She said over 98% wolf, 2 % malamute.
The vet said he would say 95% wolf, 5% malamute. But noone knows for sure

I got them 3 years ago by a lady named Genia. When I worked for a vet (my first vet job) she came in constantly with new wolves. She got my 2 when the mother was preggy and had a litter. I guess the mother and father dog were kept together, but i am not positive.I did get to interact with both parents, both were semi friendly. Anyways, it was my brothers graduation, and he has always wanted a wolf. Of course I wanted him to get 2, for companion purposes (wolves run in packs) so she gave them both to me. That is how I got them. I dont know the name of her rescue, or if she even still does it. I havent talked to her in about 2 years. So, I guess I probably should call her back and give her an update
Thank you for thinking they are pretty. They sure think they are hot stuff. Esp. when they get on top of their 2nd dog house, and howl at the moon, usually at 3 am *the neighbors probably hate us* lol

gorgeous animals! They do look like mal-wolf hybrids. How much do they weigh? I'm impressed at your security system to keep them safe - you are very responsible! While we have a 6' fence around the kennel, Star has managed to get out a couple times. I made sure my neighbors know who Star & Sherman are, I worry that someone may mistake them for a wolf or coyote and shoot them. (caught a hunter on our property about 300 feet from the kennel once, and there are people that hunt coyotes in this county).

Thank you all for the nice comments!
Cheyanne weighs in at 130 pounds. Angel at 122.
We had to make sure they were secure in the fence, they are diggers and they seem to get by anything We even had to place cement around the whole fenced area, so they couldnt dig out. BUT they just dug underneath that, lol. After the wires were put up, they just never even attempt to dig anymore
Anyways thank you all again for your nice comments They are truly wonderful doggies. We love them
