I've been asked with a couple of Pet Talkers if I have ICQ and was even given the link to the BBQ room.

I won't put it on my work computer because only approved software can be loaded. However I spent some time last night trying to get it going on my home computer, which BTW, is an old "klunker" (HP Vectra PII). I went to the provided link and it asked me what name I wanted to use. I put in slickvic50 and it looked like it was going to allow me access but in fine print it said that I had to register.

Cutting this short, I thought I went though the whole register process and was even given an ICQ number. When I go to log on it keeps telling me write a short note to the "room administrator" or something like that. I did download and install the icq program but that didn't help matters.

Ask me about Citrix Metaframe and I can write you a book....ask me about chat software and I fall off the edge. Can anyone help me?
