    Cat Behavior

Ive tried everything. I even nutered my cat. He stopped peeing in my bed now he pees in my dogs bed and gets his behind barked and bitten. I love my cat my husband wants to get ride of him but he is a lover not a fighter. He does #2 in his box but insistes to urinate on rugs (ie the welcome mat, bathroom rug). i ignored him so he stopped urinating on our bed but nothing will work. I tried Pheramones but he still insistes on using the rug as his box. He has three littler boxes (he uses them all and loves it) but still wont urinate in them. Im about to have a baby and this needs to stop soon or he is in the pound. Any Ideas?

    FuzzyGizmo,

First thing I'd do is take him to the vet to rule out a Urinary Tract Infection. A cat that pees anywhere but in the litterbox is trying to tell you something. Either he's got a URI or his box isn't clean enough. Please give him a chance before giving up on him!!

He has never used his box to pee in. I already went to the vet and had him checked over thourly. He is a year old tomorrow and ive had him since he was born he has NEVER used his box to pee in. There are sprays that are supposed to take out the smell of the cat urine but none of those work for him. He makes sure we see him Peeing. He meows at us so we will watch him pee.
