I don't know a lot of the Dog General and Pet General people so I thought I would start a thread for everyone to get to know each other. It has been a while since one of these threads was done so without further ado...

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am owned by three kitties and a red eared slider that you can see in my siggy. I am 25 years old, been married for a year and a half to my high school sweetheart, and will hopefully be graduating this August with my Masters degree. I am a military brat and have lived in eight different states and in Germany for three years.

There is nothing I love more than reading, hanging out, being with my pets, and sleeping. I have two older brothers, the second one is mentally handicapped and has taught me a lot about the differences between others. I feel very fortunate to have him in my life and my oldest brother and I are also best friends. Family is very important to me.

My pets:

Kahn is a red-eared slider who turned four in October. I have had him since he was 5 days old and bought him at a pet store in Tucson, AZ. He is very sweet and always appears hungry--like I'm starving him or something. He likes to bask in his light, swim around when he sees me or my husband, and to eat/chase little fish.



Whisper (my only boy) and Shadow are litter mates. They are kitties from my sister-in-law's cat and I have had them since they were a year old. They despise each other worth a passion but are very sweet to us and their sister Callie. They are six years old as of June and I feel fortunate to have them in my life. Shadow is the black one, Whisper the gray one.





Callie is my heart. My husband found her four years ago (she should be five in February??) when someone threw her out of their car. She is a little more independent than her siblings but recently has been following me around the house and hates to have me out of her sight--we were on vacation to CA for two weeks. She's my favorite...and we have quite a special bond.



The three of them together, none of them cuddle so this is the best we get. All three on the bed in the office staring at me while I'm on the computer.

my name is Krista and I am 19 years old and a senior in highschool and I volunteer at my local animal shelter & I LOVE it and I LOVE to horse-back ride, swim, spend time with my pets and write letters.

I have 6 pets
let me introduce them.
Buster is an 11 month coonhound mix and he is such a joy to have around he takes scrunchies out of my mom's hair lmao, loves food, loves to play in the snow.

Jenny she is a 6 year old rottie/golden lab mix and such a sweetheart she loves to cuddle! and to give kisses

Rocky is a 8 year old black lab mix and he got hit by a car in 2003(it was a hit and run) and had to spend 7 days in the emergency vets we thought we were going to lose our baby and he pulled through he just gets REALLY cold in the winter due to his injuries but we put a sweater on him and he's okay

Ginger is a 5 year old rat terrier/chihuahua mix and my mom inherited her from my grandmother in 2003 when she passed away. Ginger is a sweetheart and such a joy like the rest of the furbabies.

Miagi is 1.5 years old and such a joy he loves to cuddle!

Dodger is my guinea pig and he is approx. 2.5-3 years old he was abused in his former home & he was really nervous when he came to us but he is getting better day by day. He couldn't ask for a better home

My name is Devon and I am 14 years old.I am owned by a pony, a bird, 3 dogs, a rabbit, and lots of fish. I love to horseback ride, ski, surf, swim, and skateboard. Here are some pictures of my pets:

Merlin is a 14.2 hh Grey Welsh pony gelding (neutered male). He is 11 years old. He's a real sweetie.


Zeus is a fawn- colored pug, turning 2 January 26th.


Mackenzie is a 7 year old Golden retriever. She's my best friend.


Muffin is a mutt- most likely a tibetan terrier X. She was a rescue off of the streets and she is about 5 years old.


Baybi is a female Pearled Cockatiel. She is about 5 months old. She's very, very sweet and loves to cuddle.


Freckles is a male Dwarf Lop rabbit. He is about 3 years old.


This is Harold, my betta. We also have tons of fancy goldfish, but I'm not going to post pictures of them.

wow -- Whisper really caught my eye because he looks so much like my Maggie, who I lost =(. He's very cute though. =)


anyways, my name is Amber, I'm 14 (15 in March) I have 2 dogs, 1 mouse, and we have fish. I love writing, listening to music, trying new styles to my hair, hanging out with my friends, and cuddling with my pups.

Elvis is my dog. He is a 11 month old black/silver miniature schnauzer, who I love with all my heart. He is a clown, and is very clumsy. Just like me, hehe He also can be a hand full at times..


Then Katie, who seems to be more of my moms/brothers dog. She is 8 years old, and is a schnauzer mix. She's the best thing ever in my life. She loves to eat and sleep, and cuddle with anyone/

I am in school right now in the ECE (Early Childhood Education program) second semester. I graduated as a Personal Support Worker last year. I love animals... Most probably know me by now, but hey, it's always good to get to know someone.

Hi, my name is Julie and I live in Southern California. I'm 15 years old and a Sophmore in High School. I live with my dad, mom and sister along with my many pets, which are two dogs, two cats, two cockatiels, a hamster and six desert tortoises. In my spare time I love taking pictures, training my dogs, chatting online, writing and hanging out with friends. If you haven't already guessed, my absolute greatest passion is the Golden Retriever breed, and dogs in general. I'm highly obsessed and love learning more and more about them. I will never, ever be without a Golden. They are the greatest dogs in my (not so) biased opinion. I hope to become a Veterinarian when I'm older, and hopefully open up my own Golden Retriever rescue.

This is Molly, my three year old Sable and White Rough Collie. We "rescued" her from a BYB/puppymill when she was five months old. She's a great dog, and I love her very much.


This is Daisy, my two year old Golden Retriever (who you can also see in my signature). She is my heart and soul, and I love her more then words could ever explain.


This is Angel, she's a 5/6 year old Maine Coon mix. She's more my mom's cat. We adopted her from the local shelter when she was a kitten.


This is Dillian, he's a 4/5 year old Tabby mix. He's not the brightest crayon in the box, but we love him just the same. He's my sister's cat, and he was also adopted from the shelter as a kitten.


This is Piper, my Pied Cockatiel. He's around two years old, and we bought him from Petco when he was around five months old. He's very smart, and can mimic things from saying "hello", to a dog barking.


This is Pumpkin, my other tiel. We're not really sure how old she is, since she's more of a rescue.


This is Neko, my hamster. He's a sweet little guy, who loves to cuddle with you.


And finally, these are my six desert tortoises, Frankie, Phil, Percy, George, Bernie and Roy. They're cute little guys, and the neatest pets.

Savannah is one and she is the black one on the right hand side in luvofallhorses *Krista's siggy* and i adopted her when she was about a month old and she is a lil stink butt but she is my baby girl..

there is Cody he is 2yrs old and he was the one in my siggy with the sun glasses and american bandana on.. He is my big cuddle bug... I adopted him when he was 2 months old

there is starr she is almost one (March 19 or around that time) I got her from a foster home through my local animal shelter..

There is muffin she is 7 yrs old she is my hubby's dog his Ex &*&% abandonded her and she is a pain but she is a good dog..

I'm Kari. I am 22 and married to a great guy named Justin. I work at a great pet boarding facility, where I have been manager for 4 years. Animal rescue is my passion and it runs my life. Almost every minute in my day is spent with animals, wether it be at home or at work. I love being a mother to my animal children, but my heart longs for a human baby, I hope to get pregnant soon.

My animal children consist of 4 dogs and 1 foster dog. Bitsy a 4 year old pomeranian. Charlie a 6 year old miniature pinscher. Buster a 9 year old chihuahua. Nacey a 1 year old pug. My foster dog is Nova, she is a mini mutt, about 1 year old.

Hi I'm Jan, and would be here for the next year listing all the critters here lol! I've been married for 15 years now, and live in Mass. I've been doing a lot of rescuing and fostering, so there's never a shortage of cats/kittens etc. here. My weakness is special needs cats and kittens which I tend to keep for myself! I have 3 dogs, a large rescued iguana who was POTD in July(2nd), 3 turtles (two red eared sliders, and a common musk turtle, all rescues), and wanted to point out to you that your turtle Kahn is a girl! The way to tell is by those long front nails, which are used for burying her eggs with. My three tutles always do the starving act as well. My first rescue of this year is a young male parakeet who must have just been thrown out, as there's no way he'd have survived the bitter cold setting in around here. He has a girlfriend (who I rescued last year) and the two are very content together!

My name is Kay - I'm 17 years old and from Florida. I've lived in Florida my whole life.

Right now I live with my parents, 3 dogs, and 2 fish.

I'm too lazy to scrape up some pictures of my two fish, but there's Malachai, the Betta & Earle, the Pleco.

And my three dogs -

On the top, Kiara the 9 month old Rottweiler mix.
On the bottom, to the left, Simba the 7 year old German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix.
And Nala, to the right, the 1 year old Labrador mix.


Photography is my passion, and my main subjects are my dogs, of course.

I also like to listen to a lot of music.

I'm Abby. I am 14 years old and I love to scrapbook, play softball in the summer, go swimming in the summer, hang out with my rabbit, hang out with my friends, etc.

I'm owned by a rabbit who is very very spoiled. His name is Speedy and gets lots of treats and yummies. He loves me very much and I love him too. We have lots of fun together.

Family is important to me too. I have an older brother and him and I are very close. Sure there are times that I want to kill him, but I'd kill for him any day.
