I figured out why the dogs wouldn't come inside...

It's raining cats and dogs outside with high winds, and my dogs were refusing to come in. They've been making wierd noises the past hour too. Finally, I went out in to the weather to see what the heck was going on. I found this poor little guy huddled under the wheelbarrow scared. Dusty and Roxy just wanted to play with him, but he was terrified. He bit me when I picked him up, but once I got him away from Dusty and Roxy, he was a sweetheart...

Then I carried him outside to see if it was the neighbor's dog and this little guy came running up. Apparently they are together:

Not to be mean, but this one has a face that only a mother can love. He's got a fat awkward body and one eye is larger then the other. His fur is strange, it almost looks like spotted skin.

    Thank you Wolfie!

It looks like the first dog has a tag on, did you call the number on it yet? Good luck finding their owner. Don't over do yourself though, you need to rest.

They're my neighbors. They aren't home, so I am keeping them here until they get home. (I finally get to put a face with all that yapping I always hear!)

The neighbor just came and got them. We found a hole in our backyard. Apparently my dogs dug a hole and let them in our yard. The light colored one is pregnant by the black one. I gave the neighbor a little lecturing about spaying and neutering.

BTW the light one only has 1 1/4 ears. Most of her left ear is missing. The neighbor just rescued her a month or two ago to keep Sparky (the black one) company. He doesn't know what happened.

I don't know. In some ways, they seem so smart about their animals. I'd never seen the dogs before, but he's come over and talked to us about them. He seems so bighearted and loving towards them. And he seems like he is very knowledgeable with training. But when I mentioned fixing the dogs, it was as if he'd never heard of such a thing. He was like "Yeah! I should! How much does it cost? Where do I go?"
