Bash the Basset & Bunny and the Waterbed

Tegan one of my ratties likes to chase my male Basset around the house while in his run-about ball. He never bothers Branda-Leigh the other Basset, just Iggy. Teg will pick up speed, bash Iggy in the nose and run like the wind away from Iggy. I think he then laughs until he had cramps in his sides and then does it over and over again. i've tried to yell, but it's hard to yell while laughing. But Iggy get's his revenge if y'all have read 'Dog Games' These guys have at it all day if I could let Teg safely stay in his run-about for more then 20 mins at a time.

I also had a mini bunny a while back that would get my other shep/lab dawgie to chase him around the house. Well they would chase each other over the waterbed, which was fine, with the exception that my husband was usually asleep at the time. The bunny weighed in at maybe 1 1/2 lbs and Syren at this time was about 75 lbs. The first time that it happend I can't repeat what was shouted because Karen or Paul would ban me :P and the next few times he would just shout at me to get my 'rotten good for nothing rabbit in it's cage!'. After about a week of them playing like this my husband soon learned that it was easier to just close his door then it was to hollar at 2 very playful animals that just loved to play. I think that even though Syren (the dawgie) did cry at my husband's door after he had stopped chasing Foo Foo my husband didn't mind getting up to let Syren in. After all he got a few hours of un pounced on sleep!

    How *cute*!!!!
My ratties love to play on my waterbed. I blocked them from getting under it because they like to hide a lot when it's free-range time...and not come out for a LONG time!
You can usually find them crawling under the blankets and hiding under the pillows and inside the pillow cases
Have to be careful when the ratties are loose not to sit or lay on the bed!!

That story is just SO cute!

    Thanks
Now to get Teg not to bash Iggy! Next thing you know Iggy will be wanting a Nose Job to fix the problems :P

I just lay on the waterbed all the time, and gave up trying to block off behind it, they always found a way back there! But I do worry about when it's time for the twins to be let loose in the room, which should be any day now. They're 3 months old now and are learning their names, but are still very skittish Vassar is getting much better, but Velcro isn't getting there as quickly

Off to play with the snake food
